Jeremy Griffiths B.A,

DBTh, MIRCH.

I have been fascinated by the natural world since early childhood.

By the 1980s I began applying herbs to resolve my own ailments.

After years of study with the IRCH (International Register of Consultant Herbalists and Homoeopaths. Info at: www.irch.org) I graduated as a registered medical herbalist. I have been practicing professionally since 2003.

My professional pursuits extend to include tutoring final year herbalist students as well as giving presentations (on various herb/healing related subjects) to students and my professional peers and leading herb walks for the general public.

I am a regular contributor to the journal of my professional body (The International Register of Consultant Herbalists and Homoeopaths based in the UK).

My approach is a holistic one, with respect to the development and application of herbal remedies. I see herbs as more than their biochemical constituents, but as embodying their own nature and temperament as well as in keeping with the Doctrine of Signatures.

For me, one of the great joys of being a herbalist lies not just in the impact recovery has on the individual patient...but like a pebble thrown in a pond...the ripples of success improve the quality of life of those around the patient....reaching out to gently touch upon even the most distant friend.
